  1. Delhi to Leh Via Manali

You can enter Spiti in two directions — either the Delhi-Shimla-Spiti route or the Delhi-Manali-Spiti route. This cold desert mountain valley is the land between Tibet and India and is renowned for its stunning views, the magnificent Dhankar and Chandrakant lakes, the mesmerizing monasteries of Key, Tabo, Lhalung, and the serene villages nearby. You have to cover around 730kms with the time travel of 17 hours via NH3. The best time to visit Spiti Valley in March to June.

Popularly known as Amsterdam of India, Kasol is also popular for foreigners and hippies from Israel who spend months together trekking and exploring the area. The path from Chandigarh to Kasol is captivating, and you’d love every bit of it. You can also enjoy the enchanting beauty of the Parvati Valley and attempt the popular Kheerganga Trek. To visit this beauty you have to cover around 273kms which takes around 8-9 hours via NH154. The best time to visit this scenic beauty is April to October.

Dharamshala is also renowned for its scenic beauty and good weather. You can do a lot of shopping at Dharamshala, too. The road from Delhi to Dharamshala is decent, and you’ll be able to enter this beautiful city in just a few hours. Distance between Delhi and Dharamshala is around 469 km. The best part of going across Himachal Pradesh is the natural beauty and tourist friendly places that welcome you not only to the destination, but also along the way.

Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan, India’s largest state. Located 268 km from New Delhi, this is a major tourist destination that forms an important part of the popular Golden Triangle Tourist Circuit. The chaotic, vibrant streets of Jaipur show a recurring pattern of old and new. The city, surrounded by besieged walls and rugged hills, is full of well-preserved historic buildings and royal heritage. It is part of the Golden Triangle Tourist Circuit, with its large roads dotted with majestic statues and spectacular palaces. 

  1. The Golden Triangle (Delhi–Agra–Jaipur)

This list will be incomplete without mentioning the classic Golden Triangle, which connects the three historically and culturally rich and diverse cities of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur via the Yamuna Expressway and NH8. This road trip is both remarkable and picturesque, and the dhabas and restaurants have the best-maintained roads to quench hunger. While this trip covers a distance of 449 kilometers, which can be driven in seven hours, stretches it for two or three days, and ticks the places in between: from the historic sites in Delhi (like Jama Masjid and Mughal Red Fort) to the architectural and historical wonders of Agra (like Taj Mahal and Agra Fort) and Jaipur, The Pink City (see City Palace, marvel at the architecture of the city).
